European Day of Languages

There was an international flavour in school today as children celebrated the European Day of Languages. A variety of food from different cultures was available for children to taste outside the dining room and stickers were given out which said 'HELLO' in lots of different languages.

Year 6 also entered the poster competition organised by NE Routes into Languages. The theme was Citius, Altius, Fortius, which is Latin for "
Faster, Higher, Stronger" and the motto for the Olympic Games. Fingers crossed we win....first prize is £50 HMV vouchers!!! WOW!!!
