After the summer break, hockey is back!

 

We are 3 weeks in now and it is clear that the children have definitely not lost the skills they learnt last year. With the super stars that are attending the club at the moment, London 2012 need to watch out!

 

 

Our new Fit and Funky Club is proving very popular with the Year 4, 5 and 6 girls. We have purchased a Wii Fit, Balance Board and lots of games that are going to make us super fit!!!!

The girls all have a fabulous pink T-shirt with our Fit and Funky logo on the back. Photographs are coming soon....

Every Wednesday night, Key Stage 2 are invited to attend a netball club from 3:10pm - 4:10pm.  This half term we have developed fantastic passing and shooting skills and hopefully we will be entering tournaments and competing against other schools in the near future!  Make sure you keep logging in as photos will follow shortly!

Andrew Mawson has created a super comic!

During Maths week Chopwell had the opportunity to borrow the Lego NXT robots from Gateshead CLC. Year 6 children demonstrated their skills to their parents, whilst in ICT club the year 6 past down their knowledge to y3, 4 and 5.

This Year Chopwell Primary Singing Club is Going to Take Part in 'The Big Sing' at the Sage Gateshead. We will be able to take up to 50 children to perform in Hall One in the Sage on 1st July 2009. Songs will be based on the theme of journeys and links up singing communities from West to East coasts. Last year's performance was a complete sell out and even televised on BBC's Look North. .

We have been practicing our Netball skills. Our team has also attended to lots of Netball competitions and have done really well.

Our Street Dancing club is great fun and a good form of exercise.

Key Stage 1 think ICT Club is great fun. They have been using 2 Simple software to create simple pieces of music. Next term Key Stage 2 are going to be using video cameras and editing their own videos. Watch this space !
