In Nursery we have been looking at food inventions, we made some fantastic fruit salads using our favourite fruit...

We carefully cut up some strawberries, oranges, bananas and apples and mixed them all together...

Then for the best bit...

The children have been reading a story about a little mouse who gets a jumper for his birthday. It soon becomes his best jumper. Nursery class brought their favourite things in to share with their friends..

We had a fantastic time building homes for the three little pigs. Can you guess which house this was? It was very sterdy and when we huffed and puffed we couldn't blow it down.

All aboard!

We went on an Autumn walk and looked for coloured leaves and conkers. We sorted the leaves by threading them onto the correct coloured lace. We had lots of fun!

Stacy and Ella tried describing the texture of rice, pasta, apples, brie and pitta bread.

We loved exploring the cooked pasta in our water tray!! Stacy said, "it's really slimy and soft!"

Lucy showed us where China is on the world map, saying "prawn crackers come from China!"

Corey made a brilliant bagel wreath!

Millie, Ryan, Peter and Ella loved chopping peppers for our healthy bagels!

 Nursery children have been taking pictures using their new digital camera...

We have fun at Nursery!

The weather held, the children were eager and the buns had been baked. For the youngest children in school Tuesday was their first sports day at Chopwell. With the help of relatives, friends and year 6 the children enjoyed a selection of mini beast themed sport events.

 What did you think to the day?

Reception and Nursery had their moment on stage. They certainly had the ah factor. What was your favourite moment? Woops-a-daisy angel certainly told the story well.

Then it was the turn of Key Stage One! What fabulous singing and acting, x factor in 10 years time? What do you think?

We used the Fresco paint programme to draw fruits using our fingers on the interactive whiteboard.

We listened to the story funny bones and made skeleton pictures.
