Nursery – Miss Baker

Welcome to Nursery!

Miss Baker

Your teacher will very soon be filling this page with exciting class news, pictures of things we’ve done and more.

Do you have any ideas for this page? Why not let your Teacher know!

Nursery have had great fun making their own scarecrow at Forest School! We used straw and pillows to stuff the scarecrow and dressed it in some clothes. We hope it does the job and stops the birds eating our seeds!

We have had a very exciting day at Forest School today! We listened to the story of We're going on an egg hunt and then went on our very own Easter egg hunt! We enjoyed counting out how many we found to see who had the most!

This half term in Nursery we have been learning all about space! We have enjoyed reading stories about space such as Aliens Love Underpants, Whatever Next and Q Pootle 5!

We have enjoyed playing in our Nursery space station and have been learning some interesting facts about space!

We have been creating our own alien pictures using paint and straws. We had to carefully drop the paint onto our paper using pippettes. We then used a straw to blow the paint across our paper watching the pattern it left behind, we then added some googly eyes!
Today at Nursery we have loved experimenting using fizzy pop and mints to create rockets! We enjoyed watching as the pop exploded into the air. Please watch our video below to see what happened.

Our afternoon nursery children visited the library today! We had so much fun listening to the story "Bears don't eat egg sandwiches!" We also got to choose our own story to take back to nursery and even got to stamp our own books! Morning children will be visiting the library after the holidays!
