The Future is Mine

International Schools

For International Week, Year 3 are learning all about Poland. The children enjoyed tasting traditional Polish food including Polish rye bread, cheese and sweet treats.

As part of our international work, we have teamed up with schools from Poland, Turkey and Romania to complete a healthy eating, food art project. Year 3 children have used fruit and vegetables to create funny faces, Union Jacks and art work inspired by Vincent Van Gogh. They especially enjoyed eating their finished products!

Well done to the winners of the International Flag Competition! There were lots of fantastic entries which made it so difficult for us to choose two winners from each class.

Food tasting in Class 3/4H was very popular with the children during International Week. The children tasted paella and chorizo.

Class 3/4H baking quejidas during International Week. The children had so much fun!

As part of International Week the children in class 4M tasted Swedish food!

At Chopwell Primary School we are proud to have been awarded the prestigious International School Award at Gold level!

At Chopwell Primary School we are proud to be a part of the wider community and understand that global issues are an important part of the lives of our students. Through the inclusion of an international focus in the school, we are able to offer the children a range of experiences that will enhance their learning and raise their awareness of their national and international identity. This will also raise pupils’ awareness and appreciation of other environments and what is happening in the world.
