Nursery Mrs Banks

Nursery have had a fabulous day at Forest School with their grown-ups! They have taken part in a range of activities including making fairy gardens, dream catchers, wind spinners and bird feeders! A great time was had by all!
Nursery have had a wonderful time exploring our forest school site. They have enjoyed planting flowers and vegetables. Some of the children even had their own idea of creating a house for the fairies!

Potion Commotion!

We have really enjoyed reading the story of Potion Commotion in our phonics sessions and finding the rhyming words. Children decided they would make their own potions! What a Commotion they made!
Nursery have had an excellent day hunting for minibeasts! We used our checklist to tick off the creatures that we found. We looked under rocks and stones and enjoyed digging in the mud to find wiggly worms!
We enjoyed going on a pirate treasure hunt to find our nursery treasure box, we had to use our map to lead us to the pirate keys! We found the treasure box hidden on treasure island in our school hall!

Tiny tadpoles

We have enjoyed observing our tiny tadpoles grow bigger and bigger. We noticed them growing legs and their tails beginning to shrink. We can’t wait to see them turn into frogs! We have to clean them out and feed them regularly.
We have moved our mud kitchen into our courtyard so that the children can have free-flow access each day. We have had a great week exploring!
What a surprise we got today when we came to nursery ! We found some giant footprints that led to a very tall beanstalk! We have had great fun listening and retelling the story of Jack and the Beanstalk and even wrote our own letters to the giant!
Look at us enjoying squiggle whilst you wiggle! We create large scale movement to music using Pom-Poms. This is helping us create shapes needed for early writing.

Our nursery children just love learning through play.
