Hello and a big warm welcome to our Y2 page! In Year 2 we call ourselves 'Team 2H' and really enjoy working and coaching each other together as a team to ensure we get the best learning experience! Keep an eye on our page to see what we get up to!

Important information

PE days are Tuesday and Wednesdays- Please ensure children bring to school a suitable PE kit on these days.
Children have logins for Numbots, Spelling Shed and Accelerated Reader. They should access these every week as part of their homework.
Reading books must come into school every day.
Mental Maths homework books to come back into school on a Thursday.

Spring 2 - Amazing Australia

01.03.22 - Durham Wildlife Trust trip

Today we went to Chopwell East Fields to meet the Durham Wildlife Trust. We had a brilliant morning in the sunshine watching birds, making nests and investigating birds on a bird trail. The children had a brilliant time. There were lots of smiling faces and laughter.

In English we are writing a diary entry from the perspective of a rat during the Great Fire of London. On our experience days this week we entered a virtual reality where we got to know what it would have been like for the people who lived through this historic tragedy!
