We looked at many forms of Mayan art which was heavily influenced by their religion. We used clay to create our own Mayan inspired pots and tiles.
World Book Day - In year 6, we designed front covers to match a blurb which made us want to read on.
Y6 completed a marine engineering workshop with Sally from the Sea Cadets. They took part in experiments changing density and buoyancy and even created their own submarines. It wasn't easy but they all showed great resilience.
Y6 visited the library and learnt some fascinating facts about recycling, the amount of plastic used by one person in one month and also created a team mascot using recycled materials.
