FUN WITH FRACTIONS

We worked in teams to find equivalent fractions in the hall. Once all the equivalent fractions had been found we then had to decide where to place the fractions that were left. They could go with any of the pink fractions around the hall, we just had to decide if they were greater than or less than that fraction. We then checked each others and added our own fractions to each one. We had fun and learnt lots at the same time.

This page will be updated daily with the lessons your child can complete whilst at home. This week some of the work has been set as assignments on TEAMs. The children can open and complete the assignment on TEAMs. The child then needs to return the completed assignment back to me (by pressing the Turn In or Hand In button in the top right hand corner of the page) so that I can see what they have done and feed back to them.  The White Rose Maths work will be set on the class website page - please complete the work either on the worksheet (if printed) or in your red book. Please take a photo and upload your work onto the class Facebook page so I can see what you have done.

Please have a look at the teaching slides that explain the different parts of your body and what they are used for.

Complete the name and match organs activity.

Fun Challenge - Make an outline of a human body on the floor, then find different objects in your house to represent each of the organs. Label the organs and take a photograph of your human body.

Post your picture on the class Facebook page or on Teams.

Have fun and enjoy the weekend.

We will  be streaming one live lesson and the class reader. Year 5's live lesson will be at 11.10am (This will be English), and the Class Story will be at 1.30pm. Please join both of these meetings. 

All other work for each day will be on this class page. I have put an example timetable for the children to follow if that helps.

Use the information you researched yesterday to make a double page spread information text about Covid-19. You can use bubble writing, add drawings and set the layout as you wish.

Welcome back and a Happy New Year to you all.  Please find all the information below for the home learning. 

We will update this page daily with lessons that your child can complete whilst at home. Some of the work we set will need to be completed in the exercise book provided. Each day, we will provide work for the core subjects: English and Maths. In addition to this we will set topic work.

When children return to school all work completed should be returned to school so that teachers can see what your child has been able to do.
