For World Book Day this year, we read The Grand Hotel of Feelings by Lidia Brankovic. Each year group was given a different feeling and dressed as a colour.

Nursery and Reception – Joy – Yellow
Year 1 – Love – Pink
Year 2 – Anger – Red
Year 3 – Sadness – Blue
Year 4 – Fear – Purple 
Year 5 - Peace- Green
Year 6- Anxiety- Orange

All the feelings for World Book Day 2026

Our Year 1 Stay and Read session was a great success!

Year 2 visited Gateshead Library to pick a book!

Every class took part in some reading activities throughout the day.

For World Book Day, the children took part in feelings reflection spaces with the team from The Methodist Church. The children talked about what brings them joy, their fears and what makes them feel at peace.
