Chopwell Primary School is at the heart of a village steeped in coal mining history. Our school vision is for every child to become a successful, independent, resilient, lifelong learner and a caring, responsible member of the community, who can achieve their very best. High quality teaching and learning is at the heart all that we do. We strive to provide a learning climate in which children feel happy, safe, valued, can think creatively, flourish, celebrate differences, have pride about where they come from and develop skills and confidence to build happy, successful futures.
Our school values of MUTUAL RESPECT, INDEPENDENCE, NURTURE AND EXCELLENCE are at the core of everything we do. They underpin our teaching and learning, and provide an environment which prepares our pupils as confident, happy citizens. The values are MINE-they belong to each and every one of us.
