Our littlest learners have continued to explore their environment in nursery. They are beginning to build strong relationships with others and becoming more confident as the weeks go on! We are very proud of them! Take a look at what they have been getting up to.
This week, our little learners embraced the season of Autumn with a leaf hunt, collecting autumn treasures to stick onto cards. We then explored conkers, pinecones, and crunchy leaves in the tuff tray, using our magnifying glasses to get a closer look. Using the leaves children found on their own leaf hunt at the weekend, we made beautiful leaf crowns, and painted our own leafy masterpieces. To finish the week, we baked autumn-themed leaf biscuits — a tasty end to a week full of seasonal fun and creativity!
This week, our nursery children have been having a fantastic time learning and playing in our outdoor spaces! From climbing and balancing on the play equipment to digging and creating in the sand and mud kitchen. The children have also been enjoying exploring the mark making area, using pens and chalk. We are very lucky with how much space we have. Take a look at our fun in photos below!
This week in nursery we have been exploring colour mixing in our painting area! We only used the primary colours, red, blue, yellow and green and mixed them up to create our very first nursery paintings. We had lots of fun experimenting and seeing what amazing colours we came up with!
After, we painted our self- portraits. We talked about how we are all different and special in our own way and the different features we have. I think you will agree our portraits are fantastic!
The children have settled into their nursery environment brilliantly! They are already building friendships, exploring the classroom with curiosity, and making exciting new discoveries each day. Our two-year-olds are doing fantastically too! They are growing in confidence, learning the routines, and enjoying new experiences with their friends. We are so proud with how well the children are settling in and we are excited for the wonderful journey ahead!
