Autumn Wonders

Our nursery children enjoyed a wonderful autumn walk around the school grounds, exploring the signs of Autumn. We collected a variety of autumn treasures, including colourful leaves, pinecones and sticks. As we explored, we talked about the different colours, shapes and sizes we could see and compared our findings with our friends.

Back in the classroom, we used our collected treasures to create beautiful autumn wreaths. The children carefully decorated their wreaths and were very proud to see them displayed for everyone to enjoy. We had lots of fun exploring!

Colours Colours, everywhere!

What a colourful week we’ve had in nursery! The children have loved becoming little colour scientists, exploring colour mixing through painting and water play. There were lots of excited faces as they experimented with different colours and discovered how new colours could be made.

We have also been focusing on the story 'The Colour Monster', which has helped us explore and talk about our feelings. The children have been learning that just like the Colour Monster, we all experience different emotions. They have enjoyed identifying feelings such as happiness, sadness, calmness, anger, and worry, and have even begun using the Colour Monster characters to explain how they are feeling throughout the day.

We are so proud of how confidently they have shared their ideas, talked about their feelings, and embraced our colourful learning adventures!

Magical Me!

This term, Nursery are learning all about ‘Magical Me’! We have explored our different body parts and features, talking about what makes each of us unique. We had lots of fun painting out own self-portraits and looking closely at our eyes, hair, noses and mouths.

What a lovely way to celebrate just how marvellous we all are! ☺️🌈
