Reception Miss Banks

Tooth Champions! ✨🦷

This week, we have been learning all about the importance of good oral health and how we can keep our teeth healthy and strong. We talked about why it is important to brush our teeth twice a day, visit the dentist for regular check-ups, and make healthy food choices to protect our teeth.

As part of our learning, the children enjoyed cleaning "teeth" by brushing away the "plaque" and food marks. This helped them understand how brushing removes germs and keeps our teeth clean and healthy.

We also explored which foods and drinks are good for our teeth and which can cause damage if we have them too often. The children showed great enthusiasm and impressed us with their knowledge!

Of course, we brush our teeth every day at school too, helping us to develop healthy habits that will last a lifetime.

This week we have been learning all about the rules of counting! As part of our work on careful counting we all created our own counting wands to help us!

Over the past few weeks, the children have settled in brilliantly and we are so proud of them all. They have embraced new routines, made new friends and thrown themselves into their learning with enthusiasm and excitement.

It has been a busy few weeks filled with lots of fun, exploration and new experiences. There have been plenty of smiles along the way, and understandably a few tired faces too after such exciting days!

We are looking forward to sharing many more special moments as our wonderful Reception journey continues.
